Opening at Ryland Life Equipment’s new location in Sag Harbor, LOEWE presents a vibrant new summer-long pop-up from late May to early September. The 18sqm space takes over a corner of the store with a curated edit of women’s ready-to-wear, bags and accessories from the eclectic Paula’s Ibiza 2022 collection followed by the FW22 women’s precollection. With display concepts inspired by the clean white geometry of Mediterranean architecture and terraces with panoramic sea views, guests are invited to enter a parallel world—a sparkling portal from the Hamptons to the Balearics.
Rich in history and local lore, Ryland Life Equipment’s new home on Sag Harbor’s Main Street is one of the beachside town’s historic buildings, dating as far back as the 1700s. Today it is known as The Stanton House—a striking two-story Greek Revival building featuring a Victorian porch and black shutters against classic white wood cladding.
Landing at the height of summer and peak of the Hampton’s vibrant social scene, the pop-up opens with Paula’s Ibiza 2022 on May 28. This year, the capsule collection of summertime staples inspired by the original Paula’s Ibiza boutique—a sartorial mecca for the bohemian party people that flocked to the White Isle throughout the 1970s—takes hedonism to sparkling new heights. Ready-to-wear and accessories gleam with sequins, glitter and intense color. Graphic prints, close-cut silhouettes and skin-baring hemlines add a liberated energy. The pop-up’s key pieces include new iterations of the house’s signature baskets and degradé effect leather bags inspired by Ibiza’s legendary sunrises and sunsets.
Reenergizing the space for July 4, the FW22 women’s precollection will arrive later in the summer season. The new collection ushers in a new femininity and sensuality with leaner silhouettes and volumes; fluid jerseys add movement and are spliced with cut-outs or contrasted with textural flourishes. Vivid prints add a whimsical note while iconic bags are reinvented with fresh proportions and palettes. Highlights at the pop-up will include the Flamenco bag in a new large size and chain edition, as well as the latest versions of the Puzzle and Bracelet pouch.
